The fifth leadership training day delivered by Murabbi introduced Adair’s Action-Centred Leadership Framework. A general explanation and discussion was followed by a breakdown of the three parts of Adair’s model: Responsibility for the Task; for the Team; and the Individuals in the team. These discussions were followed up by a team game (origami based) where groups had to build quality and profitable boxes with the resources provided. Finally, our scholars had an opportunity to de-brief and reflect on the day’s training.
The Leadership Support Scheme is a year of workshops and training for our scholarship recipients. During their postgraduate studies, scholars are expected to complete leadership training and use the access they are given to industry leaders to build their own networks and create meaningful projects which address the needs of their communities.
