The Aziz Foundation is keen to develop programmes for community development and public engagement for our target communities (Black, White working class, and Gypsy/Roma and Traveller communities) based on a staggered implementation of our theory of change. This entails developing a deep understanding of each target community to aid subsequent development work in these communities. Our long-term objectives are to see disadvantaged communities to help themselves and each other, and equipped to advance the common good.
To this end, we have established a Bursary Fund to support students from our target communities who are either studying for a Masters degree or are in the final year of their PhD studies. To apply, the applicant would need to demonstrate how their research interests and involvement in community work can inform the Foundation’s understanding of any one of our target communities.
Bursary applications may be submitted at any time during the academic year. The maximum available to a single applicant is £5,000.
