The Aziz Foundation and Criterion Capital were proud to support the inaugural Gala Dinner for the Patchwork Foundation. It was a wonderful night, featuring speeches by Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, who inspired the audience with her own story of realising the power and importance of her voice in our society. The evening raised nearly £250,000 for the Patchwork Foundation.
Asif Aziz, attending the dinner, said “We support the Patchwork Foundation because of the excellent work they do in realising their central belief: that the more voices in our democracy and society, the stronger and more successful they will be. The cross-party support they receive show how important their work is and how well they do it. We hope that by awarding them the Aziz Foundation Residency – offering seed funding, office space and development support – Patchwork can go from strength to strength as they open up the corridors of power to those who otherwise would not have the chance to walk them.”
