trustee rahima aziz awarded bem in king's birthday honours list

Aziz Foundation trustee, Rahima Aziz, has been honoured in the King’s Birthday Honours List. She was awarded an BEM for services to young people.

Accepting the award, Rahima Aziz BEM said,

“I am truly delighted that the work of the Aziz Foundation has been recognised in this way. This honour attests to the importance of opening up opportunities for young people, shaping a future in which all can thrive regardless of background.”  

Furthermore, reflecting on the Foundation’s scholars, she stated that the most inspiring aspect of her work is,

“Meeting with Aziz scholars, hearing them talk about their passions and express the ways in which they wish to see the world change. This has been a transformative experience for me: one which has profoundly altered my own worldview.”

She gave thanks to the Aziz Foundation team, citing their devotion to supporting British Muslim communities as a significant factor in ensuring the success of the Aziz Family’s philanthropic mission.
