Someena Qureshi

With the support of the scholarship, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Birmingham. This course will complement my current employment with West Midlands Police.

I am hopeful that the course will give me a significant insight into how the public sector works at a senior level and help support my aspirations of progressing into more senior roles within her organisation. The course will equip me with the tools to create positive changes internally within the organisation, challenging archaic values and opening a gateway for a more diverse workforce.

Using my 17 years of experience, I aspire to inspire a new generation to consider a policing career by helping to build trust and confidence in the police force, to help support community cohesion and ultimately make a positive impact in the world of policing as a British Muslim woman.
