Zulaikha Khan

I am an aspiring sports journalist and future leader within women's sport. I am pursuing an NCTJ in Multimedia Journalism at News Associates to gain the industry-standard qualification.

As a South Asian Muslim woman, the lack of people like me within sports media is very apparent. I aim to bring representation and understanding of these communities to the industry and wish to write about and report on stories of individuals from underrepresented groups.

I have previously written a feature on representation of Muslims in sports as part of the Journo Resources Fellowship Scheme. I actively encourage Muslim women to participate in sport through work with my local mosque and previously as sports officer for my university ISOC.
