The Aziz Foundation, in partnership with Stage One and Bridge the Gap,  is pleased to announce a 12-month full-time paid Trainee Producer role with the Kiln Theatre. We encourage people who identify as Muslim and who want to develop a career as a theatre producer to apply.

This role is a part of Stage One’s Bridge the Gap Development Programme aimed at supporting emerging producers from disadvanataged backgrounds through giving them the skills they need to make the next step in their careers.

This trainee producer role at the Kiln Theatre is an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of supporting the theatre’s in-house productions. This trainee producer placement offers a unique opportunity for an aspiring producer to work in a supportive environment, develop skills and learn from experienced leaders in the field. The role involves duties and responsibilities ranging from management of press nights, supporting the delivery of Creative Engagement events, and assisting with production related activities.

The Kiln Theatre, sitting in the heart of Kilburn in the London Borough of Brent, amplifies unheard/ ignored voices, bringing it into the mainstream through exploring and examining the threads of human connection that cross race, culture and identity.

We’re grateful to the Kiln Theatre for their support in this process and their dedication towards improving the opportunities available for individuals from minoritised backgrounds to pursue careers in the performing arts. We look forward to continuing our work together to ensure that the industry can be more diverse and representative.

The deadline for this role is on 28th February. The Job Description can be viewed here. Applications should be made directly to Stage One via their members portal (applicants will have to register as a member before they can apply).
