The Aziz Foundation were delighted to be one of the sponsors of this year’s grand finale Open Iftar in the iconic and historic Trafalgar Square. This incredible event, hosted by the Ramadan Tent Project, brought together hundreds of people – Muslims and non-Muslims alike – to share in the spirit of Ramadan, break their fast, and celebrate the values of community, connection, and inclusivity. 🤝❤️

For the past month, Ramadan Tent Project has been leading Open Iftar events across the UK, creating spaces for dialogue, cultural exchange, and unity. These gatherings embody the true essence of Ramadan: fostering relationships, deepening understanding, and ensuring that no one breaks their fast alone. 🏡🥰

At the grand finale today, our Trustee, Rahima Aziz BEM, spoke about the profound significance of this event and this year’s theme of connection – linking it to the values and mission of the Aziz Foundation:

...connection is a principle that underpins everything we do. We believe in the power of education to connect individuals to opportunity. We work to ensure that British Muslims, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, have access to the knowledge, networks, and resources they need to thrive. Because when individuals are empowered, communities are strengthened. And when communities are strengthened, society flourishes. 

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Ramadan Tent Project for their incredible work. As their CEO, Omar Salha, powerfully put it:
