Earlier this month, former Aziz Foundation scholar, Nimra Shahid, was recently shortlisted by the Press Gazette’s British Journalism Awards 2020 under the category of ‘New Journalist of the Year’.
Having just completed her MA in Interactive Journalism at City University of London, Nimra has published a number of hard hitting and powerful articles, with the following forming a part of her nomination for the award:
- Britons in Pakistan accuse UK government of abandoning them
- MPs call for action over Britons stranded in Pakistan
- Lisa Nandy seeks urgent meeting with Foreign Office over Covid-19 repatriations
A major congratulations to Nimra and we hope to see her continuing to thrive within the world of journalism
