Birkbeck, University of London joins Preferred Partner Scheme

The Aziz Foundation is delighted to announce that it will be offering Master’s scholarships at Birkbeck, University of London, where talented British Muslims can receive a scholarship to undertake postgraduate study.

Birkbeck has become one of the Foundation’s Preferred Partners, having demonstrated a commitment in extending Widening Participation at the postgraduate level and reducing education inequalities for Black and Minority Ethnic students.

The University is a leader in widening access to higher education and in recognition of their efforts to raise aspirations and promote social inclusion, Birkbeck was ranked 4th amongst all UK institutions for its considerable contribution to student social mobility in 2021. It has a number of initiatives in place to support widening access into higher education including Birkbeck’s Access to Postgraduate Study Scholarships, which are designed to assist underrepresented students in moving into postgraduate study.

We look forward to working closely with the university to widen access and increase opportunities at the postgraduate taught level for British Muslim communities.
