ELAHA WALIZADEH
MA UNDERSTANDING DOMESTIC ABUSE AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE, UNIVERSITY OF GOLDSMITHS, LONDON
I am a qualified Youth Worker and Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) with nine years of experience in the gender-based violence sector, initially supporting both adult and children survivors of abuse before moving on to development and research-based roles.
I specialise in tech-facilitated gender based abuse/online harms and am currently Senior Programme Manager at country’s largest domestic abuse charity, Refuge.
I am also a freelance consultant at Rights and Security International and an associate at Safe Lives.
I hope that through this Masters in Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence, I can research culturally competent solutions to domestic abuse and work together with religions to address this issue.
