I graduated with a BA in History from Queen Mary University of London, and have spent the past year working in the Civil Service.

Now, with the generous support of the Aziz Foundation, I will be returning to academia by pursuing a Master’s degree. This course will allow me to conduct research in relatively unexplored areas of the early medieval past. I am particularly interested in cross-cultural history and interfaith interactions, and through my research I aim to promote a better understanding of the Muslim world, including the reception and impact of Islam in Europe from the early Middle Ages. In doing so, I hope to counter misconceptions and inspire greater diversity of thought in the humanities.
