I graduated from St Georges University of London and continued to attain professional registration as a Biomedical Scientist.

Ultrasound uniquely served as a tool to use my scientific knowledge in order to diagnose and aid patients when they are in most need. Traditionally, ultrasound has been used to scan in obstetric settings, whereas now it is at the forefront of almost all aspects of medicine, from ‘rapid scanning’ in emergency settings to bedside scanning for non-mobile patients.

Thus, this Masters will prepare me for a highly advanced role in healthcare, whereby non-invasive ultrasound technology will be vital in the diagnosis of disease. I aim to inspire Muslim women to not feel that practicing their beliefs means that they must compromise on their aspirations.
