My faith, my name: Islam. There’s a profound responsibility for sustainability rooted in Islam, teaching that the natural world is a trust from Allah (Amanah), and humans are its guardians, tasked with ensuring its preservation for future generations.
As a STEM Climate Ambassador and a recipient of the RED Sustainable Action Award, I am already committed to raising awareness of climate change and promoting sustainability among future generations.
My career goal is to introduce sustainable solutions and advocate for equitable urban developments. The expertise gained from this Masters, funded by the Aziz foundation, will provide the crucial platform for me to advance green infrastructure and formulate sustainable urban policies that directly benefit marginalised Muslim communities in urban areas, ensuring they have access to green spaces and resilient infrastructure.
