My passion for the third sector is rooted in a desire to make a difference and the world a better place. Having started out working on the frontline in forensic mental health, over the years I have worked for several large charities and developed a specialism (and keen interest) in fundraising and philanthropy which has now become my ikigai (purpose).

I shall be using his Masters to expand on my experience of grantmaking, exploring new trends in philanthropy such as social investment, co-production, and impact investing.

In addition to this, the aim in pursuing this programme is to help build the capacity of Muslim and other underrepresented charities, empowering them to engage in and increase their visibility within the mainstream charity sector.
