KHIZAR KHALIL
MSC WATER SCIENCE, POLICY AND MANAGEMENT, UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
One of the most pressing scientific problems today is understanding climate change and its effects on the hydrological cycle.
My research at the University of Manchester focused on the use of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to study submerged vegetation from River Mersey. Water pollution, management of floods and sea level rises are some of the challenges that remain unresolved.
Thanks to the Aziz Foundation’s generous support, I will be able to further my understanding of hydrology at Oxford and make a contribution towards aiding communities particularly vulnerable to climate change.
