MA APPLIED ANTHROPOLOGY AND COMMUNITY AND YOUTH WORK, GOLDSMITHS UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
I am originally from Yaffa (Jaffa, Palestine) and born and raised in the UK. I studied Anthropology in university, followed by a BA degree from the faculty of Shariah in the Islamic University of Madina.
I’ve had the privilege of working with a number of Islamic organisations for over a decade. I was previously the general manager of the popular Islamic magazine, Al Jumuah; youth director of Al at Muntada Al Islami; executive committee member of FOSIS ;and the PR manager at MRDF. I am currently the founder and director of Yaseen Youth development, a non-profit organisation that aims to inspire the youth through life-changing programmes.
The MA applied Anthropology, Community and Youth Work programme sponsored by the Aziz Foundation would help me become an expert in this field that would support many UK organisations and the Muslim community. By continuing to learn, we can develop new ideas and strategies that can support our next generation to thrive insha’Allah.
