MSC DRUG DISCOVERY AND PHARMA MANAGEMENT, UCL

I have over seven years of experience in the public and healthcare sectors.

Previously, I specialised in Health Communications when working in the pharmaceutical industry, where I improved health literacy and vaccine confidence in Muslim communities in Indonesia and Malaysia by addressing religious concerns surrounding vaccines and pharmaceuticals.

Currently, I serve as a Product Manager at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), where I develops digital products and services. Notably, I am developing a tool that delivers health and social care publications from DHSC and NHSE, providing vital information on vaccinations; as well as a services that offers scientific guidance and advice on the impacts of climate change and extreme weather on public health.

Additionally, I have held the position of Head of Delivery & Operations at a Muslim charity focused on addressing systemic inequalities within Muslim and marginalised communities in the UK, with work spanning areas such as health, education, gender, criminal justice, and the arts.

Through the MSc in Drug Discovery & Pharma Management, I plan to further my advocacy for marginalised and Muslim communities, particularly in healthcare. In my role at UKHSA, I aim to continue protecting public health, preventing infectious diseases and environmental hazards, and strengthening the nation’s health security to safeguard lives and livelihoods.

Outside of my professional commitments, I am Co-Director of Home Girls Unite, a Community Interest Company that provides a safe space for eldest daughters and daughters from immigrant homes globally, both online and offline.
