MSC LLM POSTGRADUATE LAW (INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS), UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
I am currently pursuing an LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of London. As a dedicated broadcast journalist, humanitarian, and activist, I have transitioned from my role as a journalist at the BBC World Service to focus on humanitarian efforts, where I now serves as Global Media Manager at Save the Children.
I am also a founding Trustee of The Vavengers, a UK-based NGO that supports survivors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Through my work, I consistently advocated for the rights and well-being of marginalised groups, with a particular focus on the Muslim community.
As an Aziz Foundation Scholar, I seek to strengthen my academic understanding of law and policy, to better support British Muslims and other disadvantaged groups. By building a strong legal foundation through my LLM, I seek to more effectively advocate for these communities. My ultimate goal is to assume a leadership role in an organisation dedicated to driving meaningful change.
