The Aziz Foundation Offers Parliamentary Officer/Researcher role at the APPG on British Muslims
04 August 2022
The Aziz Foundation is pleased to announce that it is offering a 6-month part-time paid Parliamentary Officer/Researcher with the APPG on British Muslims. We encourage British Muslims who want to develop skills in Parliamentary procedure and gain experience in public affairs relating to equality and social cohesion to apply.
It’s an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of developing and maintaining regular contact with MPs as well as securing media coverage of the Group’s activities.
An interest in politics and British Muslim communities is vital to the role and ideally, candidates will have experience writing briefing papers, a good understanding of parliamentary process and relationship management skills.
The purpose of the APPG on British Muslims is to highlight the aspirations and challenges of British Muslims, celebrate the contributions of Muslim communities to Britain and investigate prejudice, discrimination, and hatred against Muslims in the UK.
We’re grateful to the APPG on British Muslims for their support in this process and their dedication towards improving the opportunities available for British Muslims to pursue careers in the civil service and specifically in roles working closely with parliamentarians. We look forward to continuing our work together to ensure that the industry can be more diverse and representative.
