University of Greenwich joins Preferred Partner Scheme
08 June 2022
The Aziz Foundation is delighted to announce that it will be offering Master’s scholarships at University of Greenwich, where talented British Muslims can receive a scholarship to undertake postgraduate study.
Greenwich has become one of the Foundation’s Preferred Partners, having demonstrated their commitment to making higher education accessible at the postgraduate level to BME students and those from lower socio-economic groups. The university also provides tailored academic and pastoral support to its student population.
The University is a leader in widening access to higher education and is in the top five universities for social mobility in the UK. In recognition of their efforts to promote social inclusion, Greenwich was also ranked 11th worldwide for reducing inequalities in 2021. It has a number of initiatives in place to support widening access into higher education including the ‘Fast-Forward Scholarship’ which is designed to financially support high-performing students moving on to the postgraduate level.
The University is also strongly determined to eliminate the degree awarding gap by 2030 – a goal that is incorporated within its new institutional strategy.
We look forward to working closely with the university to widen access and increase opportunities at the postgraduate taught level for British Muslim communities.
